Abstract:
A calculation method for the approximate evaluation of the viscous flow around airship-like body shapes under various onset flow conditions will be presented. To ensure high efficiency of the method, as required for parametric investigations, a simplified modelling of the complex flow is necessary. To validate the present method, theoretically obtained results for a projected airship are compared with experiments.
