An image of a flow simulation by Jakob Dürrwächter, Daniel Kempf and Claus-Dieter Munz of the Numerics Research Group at the IAG has now also been selected for the DFG's Christmas card, having already been included in the German Research Foundation's (DFG) 2022 calendar.

The project was funded by the Cluster of Excellence SimTech and shows vortex formations in the flow of a square plate approached from below. It thus became a symbol for a confused time in the last year, in which, however, bright rays and rays of hope also appear.
